iPhone 3.0 – iPod Changes

leave a comment »

If you’re anything like me you’re using your iPod more than anything on your iPhone.  There havn’t been any visual tweaks since the introduction of iPhone OS 2.0, and why should there? The title and information have always been easy to read and the iPod icons on the locked screen were always helpful.

In 3.0 Apple decided to tweak the iPod UI a little.  This time around when you’re in your locked screen and you bring up the iPod controls, assuming you have them enabled, you simple press the home button twice.  Now you are presented with the author’s name, song name, and album name. Just like when you’re using the active iPod application.

The more the marrier

The more the marrier

Sometimes it’s the little things that make people happy. Prior to 3.0 I wouldn’t be sure what artist is playing if I have two similar artists with identical song titles on my iPhone. Now? No problem. All the information I need is given to me at the lock screen.

Less is more.

Enjoy.
